Addressing ethical issues in the mental health field through education, research, and advocacy
Uniting mental health professions to work together for clients
Our mission is to advance ethical integrity in the mental health field through education, research, and advocacy. We are committed to fostering a more just, transparent, and compassionate mental health system by equipping professionals, organizations, and communities with the tools to navigate ethical challenges. Through collaborative inquiry, inclusive dialogue, and evidence-based practices, we strive to uphold the dignity and rights of all individuals receiving or providing mental health care.
Education
Our educational initiatives aim to equip mental health professionals, students, and community members with the tools to recognize and address ethical challenges in practice. We offer interactive trainings, continuing education courses, a database of resources, and community outreach that foster the knowledge and skills needed to navigate ethical dilemmas with confidence, compassion, and accountability.
Research
Our research initiatives will explore the evolving ethical landscape of mental health care, examining issues such as equity, consent, professional boundaries, and systemic bias. We partner with academic institutions, mental health organizations, and community stakeholders to support interdisciplinary studies that inform ethical guidelines, shape policy, and improve clinical practice. By prioritizing inclusion and real-world relevance, our research amplifies diverse voices and drives meaningful, evidence-based change in the field.
Advocacy
We advocate for ethical practices and systemic accountability in mental health care by engaging with policymakers, professional boards, and the broader community. Through public campaigns, policy recommendations, and coalition-building, we work to protect client rights, promote equitable access to care, and support mental health professionals in upholding ethical standards. Our advocacy is rooted in lived experience, research, and a commitment to social justice.
“we cannot afford to treat ethics as an afterthought. We need spaces where practitioners, advocates, clients, and communities can think critically about what justice, care, and accountability look like in practice…”
